Gwinnett County man has been missing since September. Now police are asking for the public to help find him.

An update came on Friday stating that he'd been located.

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Editor's note: 11Alive has removed the missing person's name since they were found to protect their privacy. 

A missing man in Gwinnett County was found, according to police, on Friday morning. 

Officers announced Thursday that a 36-year-old man was missing. His family explained that they had not heard from him for several months, according to police. An update came on Friday stating that he'd been located. 

The 36-year-old was last in the Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Oakbrook Parkway area on Sept. 21, according to police. This is in the Gwinnett Village area by Norcross. 

In a police report from GCPD, officers noted that there could be a possible mental health issue, with the family reporting that he has schizophrenia and depression. The family added that he doesn't go long without contacting them.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
