ATLANTA — A 13-year-old girl who was missing from Atlanta was found safely on Sunday, police said.
The Atlanta Police Department previously said the teenager was last seen on Friday at her home on Bass Street in southwest Atlanta by her mother around 5 a.m. before she left for work.
The mother said her daughter usually returns home around 5 p.m. every day but did not on March 15. She received a call from her son around 6 p.m. saying the teenager had not returned home.
Officers previously said they checked with family members and had not found the girl, adding that Atlanta Police K9 units also canvassed the area with no luck.
Police said the girl's mother was unsure what she was wearing once she left home but provided a photo.
