UNION CITY, Ga. — A mother is begging three men to turn themselves in after her daughter was shot on a film set in Union City on Friday.
Tomesha Brown had just clocked in for her shift. She's a security guard for Reel Security Corporation and was working a night shift at Citizens Bowling Alley.
A few minutes later - she was on the phone with her mom, Suzette, telling her she had been shot.
Then the phone went dead.
Suzette Brown described her daughter as a hard working wife and mother to her 6-year-old daughter, Taylor.
"She went to work and she thought, 'I’m going to make a living for my husband. I’m going to make some money for my daughter.' And now, she is laying flat on her back in the ICU and it’s not fair," Suzette told 11Alive's Hope Ford through tears. "It’s not fair.”
"You caused that pain and it hurts," she said.
Union City Police said the movie, "Freaky Friday the 13th" was filming at the bowling alley when three people showed up. Police said a crew member tried to escort them away, after an argument. Instead, investigators said one of them came back and started shooting.
Police said the bullets hit a vehicle and Tomesha Brown as she was exiting her vehicle for shift work at the bowling alley.
"She’s on machines and we don’t know how long it’s going to be," her mother explained.
Police said all three subjects ran off and are now wanted for questioning. On Monday, police released surveillance images from the scene.
Now, Suzette is hoping the three people turn themselves in. If not, she hopes their parents do. She said parent to parent, it’s the right thing to do.
"Whoever had that gun, this is not the first time," she said. "If they had violent tendencies, this is not the first time. And that’s why I say to parents, they have to be accountable for our children’s actions. The good, the bad, the ugly.”

She said her daughter will recover physically, but it’ll take them all a long time to get over how senseless this all was.
“What was the purpose?" Suzette pleaded to know. "And now, when you’re caught, you go to jail. And I hope you go to jail. I hope you go to jail, before you hurt someone else."
Police say they’re following up on credible leads. Meanwhile, the movie production shut down, calling the site unsafe.
As for Suzette, she said when Tomesha leaves the hospital, one of the first things on the list is finding her a new job - outside of security.
