Building from 1800s burns on HBCU campus in Atlanta

It is currently operated by Clark Atlanta University.

ATLANTA — A fire early Sunday morning broke out at a building constructed in the 1800s on the Morris Brown College campus.

Clark Atlanta University officials said Fountain Hall was originally owned by Morris Brown College, but it is now operated by them.

The building was not currently occupied.

It is the second fire in the past few days. On Thursday, a large fire broke out at Gaines Hall. Firefighters spent hours battling that blaze that caused a partial collapse.
