A witness, who wished to remain anonymous, described the chaotic scene:

“The officer comes on the side to go after him, and at that point, the officer pulls out his taser and puts his taser on. All I see is a green beam, and the dude turns around and shoots the officer. He shoots about three rounds. The officer goes down, and everybody started running.”

Morrow Police said that an officer was shot in the vest and was taken to the hospital but is expected to be OK.

After the initial shooting, Christian fled the scene and was confronted by a second officer at a nearby business. The second officer who shot the suspect was also taken to Grady Memorial Hospital but has since been released.

Christian has been charged with aggravated assault on a peace officer and criminal attempt to commit murder.
