Cumming author hosts virtual story time for families stuck at home

Author of 'Frankie the Dog' book series set to host live story time on Monday at 3 pm.

CUMMING, Ga. — Marie Kirkpatrick, the author of the 'Frankie the Dog' book series, will be giving parents a break with a virtual book reading Monday afternoon.

The Cumming author will read the first book in the series, 'Frankie Finds His Family' live at 3 pm on March 23 on Facebook. If you miss it, the author tells me it will be posted to Frankie's youtube channel afterward.

Kirkpatrick announced the news on Facebook last week, saying she wanted to give parents and children a little break from the home school life.

"It's going to be fun and exciting. We want you to gather all the children around the computer," says Kirkpatrick.

The virtual book reading is just one of many virtual activities that have been launched to engage the community while families are at home due to the coronavirus.
