How one Forsyth County farm is offering drive-through field trips

Warbington Farms creates new ways to enjoy their farm amidst COVID-19.

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Warbington Farms in Forsyth County is offering families the chance to visit the farm from the safety of their car.

The family farm is hosting drive-through field trips where visitors can drive alongside the farm animals for easy viewing and feeding. Farm staff is also creating a scavenger hunt of items to find (from your car) while waiting in line.

Out of an abundance of caution for our guests and employees, everyone is asked to remain in their vehicles at all times while driving along the farm trail. Staff is also requesting that there be no direct contact between visitors and animals.

To limit interactions with employees, payments must be made online. The next drive-through field trip is being held Thursday,  April 16. After you pay for a ticket online, you can arrive any time between 11 am -1 pm.

The farm is also preparing for the peak of their strawberry season, which usually runs from April until June. Farm staff is still in the planning stages of how they will conduct strawberry picking visits. With social distancing guidelines in mind, manager Delana Heard says that they will most likely organize visits by reservations only.
