CUMMING, Ga. — A man cleaning his gun in a gas station parking lot shot himself in the leg, according to the Forsyth County Sherriff's Office.
Several My Cumming News users reported an increased police presence in the area of the Texaco at the intersection of Browns Bridge and Keith Bridge roads.
The injuries are not life-threatening, and the man was transported to a local hospital.
At this time, the man is not facing charges related to the shooting, according to Cpl. Doug Rainwater of the sheriff's office.
The shooting occurred just down the road from the location of Monday's manhunt. A man fled on foot from a traffic accident at Martin Road near Ga 400. He was apprehended nearly 6 hours later at the Walmart on Browns Bridge Road.
