Morning fire blocks off roadway for hours in Forsyth County

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Industrial Park Boulevard at Pendley Road was blocked off several hours Monday morning, while dozens of firefighters worked to put out a warehouse fire.

The blaze started at 2460 Industrial Park Boulevard around 7 a.m. According to firefighters, there was no one in the building at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. The building is associated with the algae biofuel company, Algae Energy Inc. According to its website, the company focuses on fabrication, research, and development. 

Industrial Park Boulevard was back open by 11 am. Other businesses in the area include Heritage Charity Auctions & Awards, Main Source Collision, and the USPS Lanier Carrier Annex.  Fire officials say the blaze was solely contained to the Algae Energy Inc. warehouse. A cause has yet to be released.
