Volunteers pack protective kits for deputies in Forsyth County

Hundreds of kits delivered to Forsyth County Sheriff's Office precincts.

CUMMING, Ga. — A team of volunteers came together last week to make sure that Forsyth County Sheriff's Office deputies are prepared with protective kits.

The initiative lead by Andy Hall, Don Lowery, Jim Bullis, and Volunteer Coordinator Cpl. Pete Sabella ensured that deputies will have the necessary protective gear while working. The volunteer effort was put together in response to the coronavirus.

Inside of the protective packets, volunteers place various sized medical gloves and N-95 particle masks. The supplies were pulled from the agency's Community Emergency Team Truck.

According to Stacie Miller, a spokesperson with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, several hundred kits were delivered to the North and South Precincts.

"The kits will be distributed to all of our enforcement division," added Miller.
