EAST COBB, Ga. — What do baseballs and pumpkins have in common? Well, not much. But you’ll find both at The Battery Atlanta this evening. The shopping plaza, which connects to SunTrust Park, is hosting Pumpkinfest.
“Pumpkinfest really is a celebration of the fall, and since it's our last farmers market, we do everything a little bigger,” Lauren Abernethy, The Battery’s senior director of marketing, said. “We will have some games out on the lawn, we have pumpkins for sale, we have a petting zoo, crafts, all kinds of fun stuff.”
This is the third year for the farmers market, which Abernethy says continues to offer unique finds on a regular basis.
“We are thrilled to keep coming back,” she said. “So if you want pimento cheese, or dancing salmon, or raw dried fruit, there's all types of things available.”
Thursday’s Pumkinfest runs from 4 to 7 p.m. and Abernethy recommends parking in the red, green, or purple deck.
