East Point offers amnesty for nonviolent offenders

Christmas is coming late for some East Point citizens starting today.

EAST POINT, Ga. — The City of East Point is giving its residents the opportunity to reconcile unpaid fees and fines during its ticket amnesty period. From January 22nd until March 5th, little to no penalties will be assessed for outstanding tickets including Failures to Appear in Court.

Also during the amnesty period, residents can apply for record restriction for any nonviolent crime committed in the City of East Point. The normal fee for which is $25, however if you apply on either February 9th or March 2nd, those fees will be waived. What better way to start the new year, than with a clean slate.
