EAST POINT, Ga. — After the success of its inaugural healthy lifestyle initiative last year, East Point along with other prestigious organizations, present East Point Eats Well.
A community collaboration event presented by Morehouse School of Medicine and the City of East Point connecting families to nutrition, health awareness and education empowerment.
East Point’s Mayor Deana Holiday Ingraham and celebrity culinary chefs, such as Executive Chef, DePhon Robinson showed up on Saturday, January 19, 2019 for one of four live cooking demonstrations offering nutritious meal options for residents.
"It's about knowledge, and informing and educating people on how you can make the same dish in a more healthy way," says Mayor Ingraham.
Complimentary meal kits were provided for all in attendance including ingredients and recipes for less than the price of a Starbucks coffee!
