EAST POINT, Ga. — 'Filming 101' is a casual yet informative meet-up presented by the city's office of Economic Development. During these free quarterly meetings, residents and businesses can get answers to FAQs, best practices, even how to get your home or property registered for upcoming productions.
"This started out as an information session and its turned into a networking session," stated East Point's film development specialist, Erin Rodgers.
The opportunities do not stop there either. Residents wanting to learn how to break into 'the biz' can also rub elbows with industry professionals.
"The film industry changed my life," claimed local East Point actor and entrepreneur, Brandon Thaxton, "It gave me something to focus on. It gave something strive for, to dream about."
