EAST POINT, Ga. — Thousands came to enjoy live music at East Point’s first Wednesday Wind Down of the season.
Many say they've been looking forward to the event as their kick off to summer.
“After work, I ran home, changed my clothes and came out here,” said LaMont Keith.
This is the second year for the free concert organized by Ward A council member Sharon Shropshire. Fellow councilmember Alex Gothard said she’s made the City proud.
“This is her brain-child. It’s amazing that our residents will have something like this to look forward to,” said Gothard.
The lineup included platinum selling artists Montell Jordan, Jon B, and Cherrelle.
“I’m impressed that the city put on such an amazing show, this is a perfect start to the summer,” said Tokiwa Smith.
The event will continue through August every 4th Wednesday in Downtown East Point, beginning at 6 p.m.
