Local acting club offers training for all ages and skill levels this summer

The Acting Club of Atlanta is teaching necessary skills for residents interested in breaking into Georgia's booming film industry.

EAST POINT, Ga. — “I wanted to give people in this community a chance they might night have otherwise," said Naja Small.

Small started The Acting Club of Atlanta nearly a year ago after realizing the lack of native residents being included in Georgia's booming film industry.

TACA provides courses for both children and adults. Classes include technique worships, professional photo shoots, and introductions to agents.

"There's so many talented people in the area who've been watching as these productions happen literally in their own back yard but they don't know where to begin, " said Small.

The actor says it's no coincidence that he chose to teach classes just miles away from Tyler Perry Studios.

"We've had many of our students casted in the productions here. They're constantly getting booked, one just wrapped a movie on HBO. These results are what it's all about," said Small.

Summer acting classes for novice level adults begin Monday, June 10th.
