EAST POINT, Ga. — The Tri-Cities High School basketball team won their first state championship in the school’s history on Saturday March 9th. They defeated Tucker High School 46-43 with a buzzer beater in the fourth quarter.
In celebration, Tri-Cities alumni association will host an “old school vs. new school” game to honor the champs and bring together teams of the past. The co-ed games will take place Saturday, March 16, 2019 inside the TCHS gymnasium starting at 6pm. Members of the 2019 championship team will make appearances throughout the game. Admission is five dollars, proceeds will benefit the alumni association scholarship.
