LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Several people are hurt after an SUV drove into a Burger King Tuesday afternoon, according to the Lawrenceville Police Department.
Authorities said it happened at the Burger King on 445 Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville.
There were several people eating inside who had minor injuries, and the driver of the SUV was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the police department.
The driver faces reckless driving and other traffic-related charges.
Photos from Lawrenceville Police show extensive damage to the building and SUV. Authorities said the business is currently closed.
Inside the restaurant, 11Alive's Molly Oak saw broken booths, tables and glass scattered after the crash.
