Lawrenceville mayor shares his 2020 vision for the city

Mayor David Still stresses desires to build community, create strategic partnerships, and enhance the arts.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Lawrenceville Mayor David Still shared his vision for the future of Lawrenceville at his first State of the City event last week. 

Mayor Still discussed Lawrenceville’s accomplishments and his vision for a strong community built on relationships, fine and performing arts opportunities, higher-wage jobs, and quality housing at all levels.

“When people say they live in Lawrenceville, I want it to mean something,” said Still. “Lawrenceville is my hometown and the community where I live. The City Council and I plan to work together to build a strong community through strategic partnerships, higher-paying jobs, and quality housing.”

Mayor Still highlighted plans to continue revitalizing the downtown area over the next year and a half.

"Completing our current projects like the College Corridor, the new Performing Arts Center, the Hilton Tapestry Hotel and adjacent parking deck, SouthLawn and City View, the renovations to the Lawrenceville Lawn, and the new School of the Arts at Central Gwinnett High School will be significant. All are scheduled for completion within the next 12-18 months.”
