Lawrenceville pizza joint pays it forward

Cosmo's Little Italy Pizza donates pizza to medical professionals and promotes first responder specials

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — A New York-style` pizza parlor in downtown Lawrenceville is making sure city employees, medical professionals, and first responders are well fed as they tackle the fight against the coronavirus.

Cosmo's Little Italy Pizza parlor remains one of the few restaurants still open on the downtown square. Located next to Performance Power Yoga on East Crogan street, the restaurant has converted into a market selling its pantry stock items to customers while still slinging out pies for hungry residents.

On Wednesday, the restaurant announced that it would be doing its part to deliver free lunches to the ER staff at Northside Gwinnett Hospital. In addition, the pizza shop would be offering BOGO pizzas until further notice to all city employees and first responders.

"This is scary and definitely crazy times. (we're) just trying to do our part," says owner, Allisha Kelly.

The parlor is currently still open normal hours, 11:00 pm - 9:00 pm Monday through Saturday and Sunday from noon to 8 pm.
