LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — The smell of Nancy's Candy and Spice was even inviting to the clients of Creative Enterprises.
"She is looking at us as any customer, they are not being singled out because they have a disability," Leigh McIntosh Executive Director and CEO of Creative Enterprises said.
Creative Enterprises provides job training, social outings and life skill opportunities for people with disabilities.
This month the group has made Nancy's Candy and Spice a stop on the outings they go on.
"Even though they have severe disabilities, they have the same things you and I want, and those are things like being involved in their communities, they love to give back," McIntosh said.
The relationship started when the shops owner, Nancy, had an order she didn't need, so she donated to the Lawrenceville non-profit. McIntosh said they used the order to set up like their own shop. Each person has selected an order and will give it to their Valentine.
For Nancy, she just wanted to do something to give back to her community.
