Meet Bertie and Benji | Gwinnett County Animal Welfare's pet of the week

Berti and Benji are both available for free adoption.

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Meet Berti, a 2-year-old tabby cat. She is waiting at Gwinnett County Animal Welfare to find her forever home.

Bertie has been with Gwinnett Animal Welfare since June. She loves being around people and loves snuggling. She is also very friendly and likes to chat. Bertie does well with other animals, and would make a great addition to most any home.

Benji, a five-year old rottweiler mix, has been stealing hearts and kisses since he arrived earlier this month. Benji loves to play and would do well in an active family. He is still learning not to jump, so he would do best around older children. Benji is just a ball of love that loves to play fetch, and is eagerly waiting on his forever home.

My Lawrenceville News powered by 11Alive has partnered with the animal shelter to highlight these pets. The adoption fees at the animal welfare center are usually $30 for cats and $45 for dogs, plus a $25 mandatory microchip.

This weekend only, Bertie and Benji will be available for free adoption.
