ATLANTA — Children's Healthcare of Atlanta has released new renderings of its $1.5 billion hospital campus now under construction at Interstate 85 and North Druid Hills Road in Atlanta.
"We anticipate some demolition of our existing office buildings to begin this year," a spokesman told the Atlanta Business Chronicle Wednesday. "Currently, work continues on our support buildings and associated parking along with some of our more than $40 million in planned transportation improvements, but other hospital-specific construction details are still being finalized."
Children's campus is the largest health-care project in Georgia's history. Plans for it were first announced in February 2017. The 446-bed hospital may be as tall as 19 stories and is scheduled to open in 2025. The campus also will include two patient towers, an office building and hotel.
