NEWNAN, Ga. -- The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says the 15-year-old girl who was abducted Friday night after her family members were violently attacked in Newnan has been found safe.
The man who abducted her and attacked her family members has been taken into custody, according to the GBI.
The GBI said the pair were found on a dirt road in Monroe County.
The teen was at a laundromat at 102 Temple Ave around 11:20 p.m. Friday with four members of her family.
According to investigators, 22-year-old Adrian Garcia-Zamarron stabbed those four family members during an altercation and then drove off with the teen in a white convertible, possibly a BMW.
The family members who were stabbed were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in downtown Atlanta in critical condition. Three of them were reported to have come out our surgery Saturday morning. The fourth was reported to still be in surgery.
Investigators said aggravated assault and kidnapping warrants are being obtained against Garcia-Zamarron.
