WALKER COUNTY, Ga. — Some school districts in far north Georgia are delaying the start of their school day after severe weather swept through the region overnight.
A second round of storms is also expected to come back through in the early morning Thursday, and in the farthest northwest corner of Georgia, Dade County will be under a tornado watch until 10 a.m.

- Gilmer County Schools: On a 2-hour delay
- Murray County Schools: On a 2-hour delay
Other impacts
- Union County Schools: Woody Gap Schools will conduct online learning today. Blairsville Campus on a normal schedule.
- Fannin County School System: Buses are running late, the district reports.
- Clarke County School District: Fowler Drive Elementary is without power. School will open on time with students in the cafeteria.
