ATLANTA -- Atlanta Police have released composite sketches of two men accused of trying to rob a woman in northeast Atlanta.
The victim told police that early in the morning on June 22, she was walking in the 500 block of Edgewood Avenue when a dark blue Chevrolet SUV with two men inside pulled up alongside her.
The suspects jumped out of the SUV and tried to take the victim's cell phone. The victim said one of them hit her with what may have been a flashlight, so she pulled a pocketknife out of her purse and stabbed him in the right thigh.
The uninjured suspect pulled a gun on the victim and threatened to shoot her, but never fired the weapon. The suspects then drove away without taking any of the woman's property; police said the injured suspect still had the knife embedded in his leg.
