Atlanta United and Orlando City are in the early stages of an already-heated MLS rivalry. But Orlando City fans took that rivalry too far during Atlanta’s 2-1 win on Sunday.

As Orlando City’s Will Johnson went three-on-one near the edge of the box late into stoppage time, he went down just before Atlanta’s Leandro González Pirez attempted his tackle.

It was clear dive from Johnson, and it didn’t draw a foul. Yet, both Johnson and the Orlando City fans were furious. The no-call set Johnson off on a tantrum, and he was hit with a yellow card for dissent.

Orlando City fans then proceeded to litter the field with trash.

The fans continued to throw beer cans, bottles and cups at Atlanta United players when the final whistle sounded just seconds later.
