ATLANTA — City of Refuge will break ground on its 38,000-square-foot Transformation Center on Wednesday. The goal of the facility is to "meet critical gaps in economic, health and wellness services in Atlanta’s Westside neighborhood," according to a press release.

The three-story, $15.2 million facility will include 25 units of affordable housing, a small grocery market, a new credit union and a medical and mental health clinic for survivors of trafficking and domestic abuse, all intended to improve access to resources for individuals and families in need.

Invest Atlanta will contribute a $2 million BeltLine Tax Allocation District (TAD) increment grant to help fund the 25 housing units at the Transformation Center, as part of a city-wide effort to create or preserve 20,000 affordable housing units by 2030, according to the release.
