DUNWOODY, Ga. — Hoping to do some holiday shopping at Perimeter Mall anytime soon? Well, now it might cost you a bit more.
Beginning Monday, guests will see new paid parking spots near the mall's front entrance. Brookfield Properties, which manages the mall, says the new pay-to-park policy is aimed at improving traffic flow and convenience for shoppers, particularly during the busy holiday shopping season.
The mall, which offers around 7,000 parking spaces overall, will keep most of its parking free, with only about 300 spots near the front requiring a fee. Parking in these designated spaces will cost $2 per hour, capped at $10.
The property retail group said that 10% of the funds collected from the parking spaces will be donated to charity, though Brookfield has not yet disclosed which organization will benefit at this time.
Shoppers can expect to see signs installed around the property over the weekend to highlight the changes.
