SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — A hit-and-run crash on I-285 east in Sandy Springs left one person critically injured after they were ejected onto the interstate, police said.
It happened around 12:30 a.m. early Sunday morning near New Northside Drive, according to Sandy Springs PD. The victims' car ended up flipped over on the interstate.
It shut down all lanes for about two hours as Hero units responded on scene. The passenger who was ejected was rushed to Grady Hospital, police said. The driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital and was released with minor injuries.
Police did not give any details about the other vehicle who involved in which the driver left the scene.
