CANTON, Ga. — Pickleball enthusiasts in Cherokee County have something new to celebrate! Three top-notch pickleball courts are now open at Lakeside, a vibrant 55+ active adult neighborhood in Canton.
Pickleball has exploded in popularity in recent years, with over 13.6 million players across the U.S., making it the fastest-growing sport in the country, according to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association.
The new courts are the first of their kind in a JW Collection community and are part of the Evermore clubhouse, an 8,000-square-foot space packed with amenities, according to a release.
Lakeside pickleball courts
The courts are now open, allowing residents to enjoy games with friends and neighbors. Lakeside isn’t just about pickleball, though. Residents can also enjoy a resort-style water park overlooking Legacy Lake, eight lighted tennis courts, a fitness center, and a yoga room.
“The courts are enhancing Lakeside’s amenity mix catered toward active lifestyles," the release read.
