AUSTELL, Ga. -- Police are working to identify a murder victim found inside an apartment complex Thursday morning.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Department responded to shots fired at the Birch Landing Complex. They were going door to door conducting well fare checks when they found one of the doors slightly ajar.
When they entered the apartment, they found a man in his 20's dead inside. At this point in the investigation they do not know who the man is, or have a suspect or motive in the killing.
