NORCROSS, Ga. -- Two police K9 units helped apprehend a burglary suspect after he allegedly returned to the scene of the crime in Norcross early Wednesday morning. And officers are still seeking others.

Police said they were called out to Lia Hills Drive - KRC Hilltop Apartments - around 12:30 a.m. in regard to car break-ins.

As they were interviewing a break-in victim, Norcross police officials said one of the suspects apparently drove back by the area.

A police car pulled up behind the suspect vehicle and activated blue lights only to have the suspect try to escape.

The vehicle pursuit and a foot chase began when the suspect reached a dead end on the road.

Officers, with the help of K9 officers Rex and Butler, tracked the suspect down hiding under a semi truck at Newel Recycling on Mitchel Road.

The suspect, then identified as Edgar Meymar, was taken into custody and charged with both entering automobiles and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

Now police hope the public will help them find several other male suspects involved in the crime.

Anyone with information on any suspect in the incident is asked to call Norcross Police Department's Crime Suppression Unit. The department can be reached at 770-448-2111.
