Police release photo of Greenbrier shooting suspect

Police are hoping that a newly released photo will help them catch a suspect believed to have shot two men in the back and legs in June.

ATLANTA -- Police are hoping that a newly released photo will help them catch a suspect believed to have shot two men in the back and legs in June.

Atlanta police responded to the call for a person shot on June 19 in the 3000 block Continental Colony SW where they found the two victims, James Webb and Jessey Wilson, suffering from several gunshot wounds.

The victims told police that the suspects made contact with them at a nearby Chevron gas station on Greenbrier Parkway. The suspects then continued to follow the victims in an unidentified vehicle and fired several rounds towards the victims' car.

Through investigation, officials believe the suspects were armed with two long guns and a handgun.

The victims were taken to Grady Hospital in stable condition.

The photo released by police shows a black male with a mustache. And while police have not described how they believe he is involved in the shooting, he was described as a suspect in the attack by a police spokesperson.

Police are asking for anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspect to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (4877).
