A ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Atlanta on Leap Day for the Powerball drawing. The ticket was purchased at Exxon Food Mart, located at 1161 Ponce de Leon Ave.

Winning numbers for the Feb. 29 drawing were: 24-44-46-50-51 and the Powerball was 13. The Leap Day ticket matched the first four winning numbers with the Powerball.

A winner has not come forward to claim the prize yet, lottery officials said. Powerball winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes.

Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is an estimated $90 million to a single annuity winner.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $21.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education, officials said.

They say more than 1.9 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
