Rick Ross, bodyguard charged with severe beating of groundskeeper

FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. -- William Roberts, also known as rapper Rick Ross, and his bodyguard were arrested in Fayette County Wednesday morning.

The U. S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force was asked to assist in locating and arresting Ross and Nadrian James, 42.

Ross was charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated battery while James was charged with kidnapping and aggravated battery.

Those crimes were allegedly against a groundskeeper at Ross's mansion.

Warrants show that the victim was beat in the face breaking his jaw, causing two chipped teeth and multiple scratches and contusions.

The injuries were so bad that the victim has been restricted to soft foods and a liquid diet due to inability to chew.

The two individuals were located and arrested Wednesday morning. Each were held at the Fayette County jail. Both were denied bond and will be held until they can make an appearance before a Superior Court judge.

This is the second time this month Ross has been arrested in Fayette County.

Back on June 11, Ross was pulled over along Highway 279 on a window tint violation when the officer smelled marijuana during the stop and found it in Ross's Bentley leading to a possession charge.
