(WXIA) -- A day care teacher was arrested and charged with Simple Battery against a child Friday afternoon.
The Clayton County Police Department arrested Alexis J. Wilson-Britten, of Jonesboro, for Simple Battery against a two-year-old.
Wilson-Britten is a teacher at Kids R Kids Day Care Center, which is located at 1357 Lakeridge Parkway in Riverdale.
She is accused of kicking a child in an attempt to push the child away.
According to authorities, video surveillance recording from inside Wilson-Britten's classroom revealed footage consistent with the accusation.
The care remains an ongoing investigation.
