ROME, Ga. -- A Port Sulfur, La., couple reported missing in north Georgia have been found alive and well in Cobb County.
Pierre Demetrius Billot, 77, and his 83-year-old wife Willie Pearl were spotted at around 8 a.m. Tuesday. A driver saw the couple's car on North Marietta Parkway in Marietta and called 911.
Officials said the pair went missing in Floyd County while headed to Ellijay. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation later issued a Mattie's Call for the couple, as both are in poor health.
Pierre and Willie were taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for evaluation. Floyd County Police Investigator Mary Catherine Parris said both were confused and claimed they did not know how they ended up in Marietta.
