Threatening emails sent to high school lacrosse players

The Roswell Police Department is investigating threatening emails that were sent out to players on a local recreational lacrosse team in Roswell. Some of the players attend Centennial High School.

The letter named specific players from the team and threatened their lives.

Detectives are having difficulty determining where the email came from since the I.P. address that was associated with it was masked by a computer program that hides the real identity of the sender.

When 11Alive reached out to Fulton County Schools for a statement, it was made clear that this lacrosse team is in no way associated with Centennial High School and that only a few of their students were on this local lacrosse team.

The investigation is ongoing.
