ATLANTA (AP) -- A British business management software company is establishing its North American headquarters in Atlanta.
Gov. Nathan Deal announced on Friday that United Kingdom-based Sage Group will establish a hub in Atlanta this fall, a move that is expected to result in the creation of 400 jobs over the next few years.
Sage will launch a new office in the city's Midtown district, with the initial jobs being in sales and marketing. Customer service, digital marketing and research and development jobs are expected to be filled afterward.
The company already has an office in Lawrenceville.
Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed says in a statement that the news shows that the city's software development sectors are thriving.
Sage is the world's largest management software supplier to small businesses in the world.
