Driver arrested after doing donuts in front of Sandy Springs police station, video shows

The department shared the surveillance video from Oct. 26.

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — The Sandy Springs Police Department is reminding people it's illegal to lay drag after they caught a driver doing it on video in front a station.

The department shared the surveillance video from Oct. 26. According to SSPD, a black Dodge Charger was spotted doing donuts near the police station just after 1 a.m. The driver was later stopped by officers via a traffic stop.

According to police, the driver wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was cited for a stop sign violation. Officers found that he was driving on a suspended license, too.

"Word of advice: If you are going to lay drag, make sure you are not directly outside of a police station," the department said.
