Forest Park basketball star honored by high school alma mater for national champinship win

Feagin won an NCAA national championship with the University of South Carolina women's basketball team last month.

FOREST PARK, Ga. — A champion returned home to be celebrated after an exciting win on the national stage. Former Forest Park High School star Sania Feagin won a national championship with the South Carolina women's basketball team last month.

On Wednesday, Feagin returned to Clayton County to be honored by her alma mater. 

Feagin was Gatorade's Georgia High School Player of the Year in 2020 and has since won two national titles at South Carolina.

 Now, her jersey will hang in the rafters of Forest Park High School's gym after being retired. 

The school also dedicated the gym floor to longtime coach Steven Cole.
