Shuttle manager hurt after dispute with passenger at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, police say

Police said the manager confronted the unruly passenger and asked them to leave. That's when APD said the passenger took out a knife and cut the shuttle manager.

ATLANTA — A shuttle manager is injured after a dispute escalated at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on Wednesday, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

When officers arrived at the airport, they found the shuttle manager, who was a contract employee with an airport vendor, hurt with cuts to his face and hands.

APD said the man was taken to Grady Hospital for medical treatment.

Investigators believe the shuttle manager received a call from one of his drivers that an "unsheltered passenger" was on their shuttle and was behaving erratically.

Police said the manager confronted the unruly passenger and asked them to leave. That's when APD said the passenger took out a knife and cut the shuttle manager.

The passenger took off from the scene and was later found by police officers hiding in a garbage can, according to APD. Officers found a knife nearby, and arrest charges are pending.
