Flooding around Southern Regional Medical Center, but hospital's emergency services unaffected

Clayton County Police said ambulances can still access the facility even though roads around it are closed.

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Helene has brought flooding all across metro Atlanta, including in Clayton County, where Southern Medical Regional Center has some of its surrounding roads closed.

The Clayton County Police Department said Gardenwalk Boulevard and Upper Riverdale Road are closed because of the flooding, but Southern Regional Medical Center's emergency services are "unaffected."

"Ambulances can still access Southern Regional Medical Center, and all emergency personnel have been informed of the road closures," the department said. "Public safety remains the top priority as we respond to the aftermath of Hurricane Helene."

Gardenwalk Boulevard and Upper Riverdale Road are currently flooded, but emergency services remain unaffected....
