ATLANTA -- Atlanta Police are investigating an murder-suicide in the southwest Atlanta area that happened Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a burglary in progress call in the 3000 block of Deerborne Court SW.
But upon arrival, responding officers discovered a man and woman dead inside the residence.
Both appeared to have sustained gunshot wounds and a weapon was recovered on scene.
A police spokesperson said that it appears the two knew each other and had a previous relationship.
The investigation on the scene showed signs that the man shot and killed the woman and then proceeded to shoot himself.
