LITHONIA, Ga. — Family, friends and classmates said goodbye to a Stephenson High School student killed in front of his home this week.

So far there have been no arrests in the case since the shooting on Wednesday.

Funeral services for 17-year-old Rakwon Reid were held Saturday at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia where family and friends called for justice.

"We're taking it hard but we're keeping our heads high for Rakwon 'cause he wouldn't want to see us down like this," said Reid's cousin Kasondra Hopkins. "He always wanted us smiling and laughing and joking but I mean we're gonna keep his name alive."

Many wore shirts with Reid's picture to the services. Others worse shirts from his fashion line "Gold Vivka."

They asking anyone who knows anything about his death to come forward.

"I just want them to tell 'cause I want justice for my cousin. I'm still not understanding why they took his life," Hopkins said.

Former classmates and neighbors said Reid loved to have fun and enjoyed music. They said he was an aspiring rapper.

"A good person, just outgoing, liked music, he was just funny, a good person you'd like to be around," said Cuan Head.

They want answers as well.

"We're just hurt, like why Kwon? Why him? He wasn't no bad person," said Quis Andrews.

Anyone with information that can help authorities is asked to contact Crimestoppers.
