STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. — Just about six months after a man was shot and killed in Stone Mountain, deputies said they have arrested his suspect killer.
The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Unit, with help from the U.S. Marshal's Office, arrested Jamarcus Jones, 19, on Tuesday.
Deputies said Jones was arrested at a Stonecrest home in connection with the death of Joshua Reed.
Reed was found dead on December 26, 2022, just a day after Christmas, on Russwood Avenue in Stone Mountain.
Jones was taken to the DeKalb County Jail and is being held without bond. He is accused of aggravated assault and murder.
