ATLANTA — After strong storms produced heavy rains and gusty winds in metro Atlanta Wednesday night and Thursday morning, toppled trees and power lines weren't the only victims.
The powerful wind gusts also took down the Cyrus the Great statue inside Atlantic Station's Millennium Gate Museum.
An 11Alive viewer sent in photos of the over 32-foot statue that was seen broken in several pieces lying just in front of the pond at Millennium Gate Museum near 17th Street.

The strong storms shut down power to more than 60,000 Georgia Power customers overnight as crews worked to restore power to communities and homes throughout the morning. It even brought school closures in Haralson County due to ongoing power outages.
