Suspect arrested for allegedly shooting, killing man during argument in Walmart parking lot

Police said the victim, suspect, and the suspect's fiancé got into a verbal argument in the store's parking lot.

SNELLVILLE, Ga. – A man was shot dead after an argument that ensued at a Snellville Walmart.

Just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, Snellville police were called to the Walmart at 1550 Scenic Highway for a shooting. Police found Fadil Delkic with a life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest.

Police said Delkic, Troy Hunte, and Hunte’s fiancé got into a verbal argument in the store’s parking lot. The argument then turned physical when Hunte’s fiancé struck Delkic in the face.

Officials said Hunte pulled a handgun from his pocket and shot Delkic once in the chest. Delkic was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

Hunte was charged with voluntary manslaughter and is being held at the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office.

Snellville police ask if you witnessed the shooting and have not been interviewed by investigators to contact them at 770-985-3555 to provide a statement.
