GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- Firefighters in Gwinnett say a massive house fire in a multi-story home has been brought under control - but crews are still working to put it out hours later.
Fire officials responded just before 10 a.m. to a gated community in the 4900 block of Brendlynn Drive and found the home already inundated with flames when they arrived. The fire itself was so intense that crews are being forced to fight it from the outside.

Authorities don't yet know the cause of the fire but said there haven't been any injuries reported so far. The home itself was uninhabited and had been put up for sale by the owner who arrived after being contacted by fire crews. A passerby was the first one to spot the flames and call 911.
Due to the extreme heat and the length of time Gwinnett firefighters have been fighting the blaze, crews are rotating in and out of duty to keep water on the aftermath and stay safe.
